JEE Main 2020 Major changes in Exam pattern ,Schedule and question paper

For the first time in JEE exam pattern, the number of questions has been reduced and the types of questions have also been changed. Previously, Engineering (BE / BTech) aspirants had to solve three papers of 30–30 multiple choice questions - Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. Now instead of 30-30 in all three papers, there will be 25-25 questions. There will be 20-20 multiple choice questions, while the remaining 5-5 questions will come with answers to the numeric value and the weightage of the three papers will be equal.

Important Note for objective type or most Appropriate: To answer a question, the candidates need to  choose one option corresponding to the correct option. However, after the process of challenges of the key, if more than one option is found to be correct then the multiple correct options will be given the four marks (+4). Any incorrect option marked will be given the minus one mark (-1).  Unanswered/Marked for review will be given no marks. In case, a question is dropped/ignored, all candidates will be given four marks(+4) irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.
